The Rogers and Burnett family letters colletions includes letters for John P. Rogers in California to his wife Elizabeth A. Rogers in Oregon and letters from Peter Brunett who was the first Governor in California. Topics include wagon company travel from Oregon through Umpqua country, arrival in Sacramento, gold mining, Yuba River, Indians, cost of provision and family matters.
