Biographical / Historical

This land is located east of Oroville and was originally claimed in 1878 as a mining claim. In the late 19th century the property was developed into a farm and orchard by Charles Nickerson. After Nickerson's death, in 1900, the land was sold off in lots and developed with a slaughter yard, orchard and homes.
