Materials consist mostly of AS Government Affairs Council , Environmental Affairs Council and the Environmental Action Resource Center (progenitors for the Sustainability Affairs Council), and records related to the operations of AS businesses. The bulk of the collection consists of scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and press releases (spanning 1934-1982, 2002-2007) documenting AS activities in local area publications. One box consists of AS student publications illustrating students social and creative interests, political sentiments, as well as student codes of conduct and handbooks (ranging from 1936- 1978). Operational budgets for the Government Affairs Council (1967-1968, 1970-1976, 1980-1983). CAVE annual reports (1971-1978). AS Board of Directors minutes (1981-1983). Photo albums of AS Environmental Affairs Council activities (1997-2001), the Grand Opening of the BMU (2001), various years of AS Multicultural Council retreats, and GAC members (2001-2009) travelling for California Higher Education conference (2011). The AS Productions progenitor, AS Presents participated in a Council for Advancement for Standards (CAS) exercise (2003-2004), and materials from that endeavor are also held within this collection. All materials were created by Associated Students and its affiliated entities, in Chico, California.
