Twenty-nine students enrolled in the First Year Experience English 130 course gathered materials from nine campus organizations to analyze the organizations' cultural and community rhetorics and compositional approach. The campus organizations are: the Dream Center, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Gamma Zeta Alpha, Gender and Sexuality Equity Center (GSEC), Safe Place, Sigma Tau Delta (STD), Students for Quality Education (SQE), and Upward Bound (UB).The student gathered both physical posters, promotional flyers, stickers, pamphlets, agendas, meeting minutes; which were compiled by Dr. Leon into an archival CAT box. The students also gathered born digital materials, including PDFs, JPEGs, PNGs, Google Documents, and recorded oral histories in the form of Audio and Video recordings in .MOV, .M4A, and .MP4 formats. Digital materials were downloaded to external storage by University Archives staff. The inventory details both the digital and physical extent, and are saved with the same accession file name in the accession folder on external storage. Materials were gathered between January and May 2018, during the Spring 2018 semester. All organizations serve the students of California State University, Chico in rural northeastern California.
