John Nopel Home Movies
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of seven 8 mm films without sound that have been copied onto DVD for use. The major topics of the films are: Boy Scouts, Pioneer Parade, Bidwell Park, boat races on Sacramento River, pet parade, Chico State College campus, Chico downtown plaza, Portola Winter Sports Club, football, marching band, plane and aerial view, skating, golf, and pets. Content of reel 7 listed as: 1936 Paradise, 1937 Don Brown’s Scouts, 1943 Dale Westberg (about 5’ of scooting), 1946 Reno Don, Mother B. Earl, J.J., Norma Thomas, 1948 Paradise Brown’s Westberg’s, Earl & Mary at Mother B’s home.
