Biographical / Historical

John Bidwell originally possessed block 8 of downtown Chico (California) as a part of the Arroyo Rancho grant. In 1865, he deeded lot 3 of block 8 to G.C. Hewbach.

An abstract of title contains the history of a particular piece of land as it relates to patents, deeds, releases and mortgages.
